About this event

The U.S. Army of the future will operate across air, land, maritime, space, and cyberspace domains. These multi-domain operations present unique challenges for medical research infrastructure planning in order to meet future trauma care needs. Military laboratories encompass a wide variety of partnerships, missions, training, and research projects, and the management of these labs is complicated by the fact that they are supported by multiple agencies and appropriation bills with completely different funding timelines. To address these challenges, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine is organizing a workshop to explore how the U.S. Army can apply best practices from industry and academia to improve its strategic medical infrastructure planning.
